PEP Pioneers

Fitness

Fitness is a primary ingredient in the daily activities of the PEP Pioneers. Many of us meet 3 times a week to exercise at the Torrance Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation building.​

Tuesdays from Noon to 4:00PM we use all the equipment available to us including 10 treadmills, 7Nusteps, 2 Rex machines, 6 exercise bikes, a rowing machine various other equipment. On Wednesdays from 12:30 to 1:30 we have our 'Strength and Balance' class with Cynthia Rohrer, RN. (Here is an excerpt from one of her classes on S&B). Following the S&B class we can continue our equipment use on Fridays from 1:30 to 4:30PM.

The following demonstrates some of the other activities that are vital to daily rehab of those afflicted with COPD, emphysema, asthma and other chronic lung diseases.
