Fitness is a primary ingredient in the daily activities of the PEP Pioneers. Many of us meet 3 times a week to exercise at the Torrance Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation building.
Tuesdays from 12:30 to 1:30 Cynthia teaches chair yoga. Then from 1:30 to 4:30 we use the equipment, including 10 treadmills, 7 Nusteps, 2 Rex machines, 6 exercise bikes, a rowing machine, and various other equipment. On Fridays from 12:30 to 1:30 we have our 'Strength and Balance' class. Following the S&B class, there is open gym to use the equipment from 1:30 to 4:30.
The following demonstrates some of the other activities that are vital to daily rehab of those afflicted with COPD, emphysema, IPF, asthma and other chronic lung diseases.
